LAMMPS Phase 3 began as the Seminary Avenue Paving Project in 2023, which proposed improvements along Seminary Avenue from Foothill Blvd to Sunnymere Blvd. When it became clear that the public wanted an off-street walking & biking path on Seminary between Camden and Sunnymere, that portion of the project split off and became LAMMPS 3. LAMMPS Phase 3 will continue the work of connecting East Oakland to the Laurel District by connecting Seminary Avenue to the Laurel Access to Mills, Maxwell Park, and Seminary (LAMMPS) Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects, located along MacArthur Boulevard.
