[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]On April 10, 2020, the City Of Oakland announced the Oakland Slow Streets initiative to enable safer use of Oakland streets by cyclists and pedestrians  during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Under the initiative, selected residential streets will be closed to all non-local, non-emergency motorized vehicle traffic.  The initiative’s intent is to make it safer to walk and bicycle throughout the city, with sufficient space for physical distancing.  As of May 8 some 20 miles of streets have been given soft closure under the initiative and will stay closed to through traffic until Alameda County lifts shelter-in-place protocols.

WOBO IS ON IT!
