WOBO is proud to support East Oakland Futures Fest with fiscal, volunteer, and co-leadership resources. We strive to unlock resources that serve the hopes and dreams of Deep East Oakland’s own design.

We want to hear from our community — what would you like to know about anything related to biking or walking Oakland? Perhaps you’d like to report a pothole, or make a request to your councilmember about repaving a street? Whatever you want to know, WOBO will be happy to help you find the answer.
WHAT'S IN STORE FOR 2025? SO MUCH! KEEP WOBO ROLLING.

Activism and Policy
WOBO designs and launches key campaigns to push for the city to make good on the bicycle and pedestrian master plans by actively participating in local planning processes, with the goal of ensuring that full bicyclist and pedestrian accommodations are included in the planning process.
Neighborhood Advocacy
WOBO helps neighborhood groups get the change they want by advising and connecting groups with the right teams in the city or the community, advocating on the community's behalf with city leaders, and supporting implementation of projects such as Safe Oakland Streets and the East Oakland Futures Festival.
Get Involved
WOBO is a volunteer driven, members based organization. Join us in making Oakland a better place for biking and walking by volunteering or making a contribution!
Grand Avenue
WOBO in partnership with Bike East Bay and Traffic Violence Rapid Response is advocating for safer crosswalks, safer biking and better transit access for all who live, work, and play on Grand Avenue adjacent to Lake Merritt. Every year Oaklanders are injured along Grand Avenue by Lake Merritt from dozens of car crashes– this has to stop, we demand a safe Grand now!
